谁不爱自己的家乡？谁不爱自己的祖国？每个人对自己的家乡都会怀有深厚的感情。宜宾的每个角落，或许都有老严的影子，有时候老严很希望请您们到我的记忆里，带着您们去参观老严儿时住的老宅子，那是一座解放前盐商的豪宅，分为上下两个天井，有雕刻的非常精美的窗棂和整齐的厢房，80年代末，20万卖了修成现在的南门桥虹桥茶楼那幢房子了，钱都是小问题，可是我们失去了永远不能靠后悔能完会的东西哦。
也想带您们去看看老严记忆里，云南会馆周围的曾经有过的老宅子，那曾经是多么精美的建筑呀。一个个紧挨着的旧时大富豪们修建四合院，门口那石头雕刻的对联，诉说着孝悌忠信的故事，走进一个个院子，您会发现，您会发现，仅仅是西城角、麻线街、走马街、女学街里的四合院建筑，其价值就能超过现在若干个观音街、几个李庄古镇全部老建筑的价值。
记得一位老者说过，倘若我们冠以各种各样的名义，把所有老东西都慢慢拆掉，100年后，我们的子孙们问我，爷爷，我是宜宾人，但是这句话是什么意思呢？那时，或许我们才会发现，是我们亲手把能代表自己意义的证物埋葬在历史的车轮下了。

Yes, Yibin has good culture background. Do you know there was 7 stone tablets from Daguanlou Tower to Baierheshan stone tablets, through East Street? Do you know there are many ancient yards in Xichengjiao Street and other streets, but now all gone, replaced with other buidlings, and we Yibiner, are very proud of it!
Boy: En, ok, but what is the difference of Yibiner and Pinshaner (屏山人)?
Dad: Yes, in face we are going the same because Pinshaner has everything new, like new town site, new house, new window, new hospital etc., they sacrifice the ancient town wall and Mahu Yamun relics and temples for the big dam, now Pinshaner are totally Yibiner-tobe.
子：爸爸，他们说我是宜宾人，但是宜宾人意味着什么呢？
父：宜宾人的意思是说，您生在宜宾，长在宜宾，并应该为此感到自豪呢！
子：恩，爸爸，但是宜宾人和北京人有什么不同呢？
父：区别很大，北京有长城和故宫，还有市井老百姓住的胡同，这说明北京是古都，也是关外进入华北平原的重要关口。在宜宾，能用来证明宜宾曾经是川南经济中心的证据已经很少了，过去的走马街已经完全没有了，取而代之的是卡拉OK厅、舞厅和二手车门市，有时候云南会馆还有劲舞辣妹的表演。
子：恩，爸爸，但是宜宾人和上海人有什么不同呢？
父：区别也不小，外滩以及上海市区汇集各种风格的老建筑，见证着上海这个曾经的国际金融、文化中心的辉煌历史。当然，宜宾也有久远的文化背景，孩子你知道从大观楼至百二河山牌坊之间，横贯东街有7道牌坊么？孩子你知道过去在西城角一代有许多建筑精美的四合院么，许多四合院门口都有刻字的石头匾额，不过现在这些遗产都没有了，取而代之的是砖房、混凝土房，作为宜宾人，我们应该为此感到自豪。
子：恩，爸爸，但是宜宾人和屏山人有什么区别呢？
父：是的，屏山人和我们宜宾人已经快要完全一样了，因为屏山人什么都是新的，县城是新的、房子是新的、窗户是新的，医院也是新的，为了大坝，他们牺牲了包括他们的老县城，城墙、城门楼、马湖府还有几座寺庙，屏山人宜宾就快成为完完全全的宜宾人了。
